-Shape of infarction.

- usually All infarcts tend to be pyramidal or wedge shaped.

- Why?

Due to distribute of the branches of arteries which

distribute in an area of pyramid

so when the infarction occur the base

become at the surface & apex become at the site

of occluded artery,see the figure...
